The story
Gary started welding window frames at seventeen
He went from welding frames into door fabrication, then into the glass shop making double-glazed units, and finally onto the tools as a fitter. That is a decade spent on every stage of a window's life before he ever knocked on a customer's door, and it is the reason a Draycote survey catches things a salesman never would.
Along the way he built a reputation for out-working the teams around him and picked up customer recognition week after week. In January 2015, at 28, he started Draycote Windows: the business he had been working towards his whole career.
Today Draycote is a team of eight, including office staff, and every one of them has 20 to 25 or more years of experience. Sign-written vans, full uniforms, and the same standard Gary set on day one: respect the property, be polite, work hard, miss nothing.
Who we help. Homeowners across Lichfield, Burntwood, Rugeley, Fradley, Tamworth, Sutton Coldfield, Shenstone, Little Aston and Armitage, plus the surrounding Staffordshire villages, who want the job done once and done properly. We also take on commercial glazing and door installations.
What we specialise in. UPVC windows and doors in Eurocell or premium Rehau profile, Smarts aluminium windows and bi-fold doors, composite front doors, double glazing, tiled warm roofs and insulated conservatory roof replacements, and full start-to-finish extensions covering groundworks, brickwork, roof, glazing, plastering, painting and flooring.

Most of our work comes from people who were recommended to us. That only keeps happening if every single job holds up, so these are the standards we run the company on.
We survey before we price
Nobody quotes from a price list. We measure the opening, look at the lintel, the cill and how the last installer left it, then price the house in front of us. The written quote comes back the next working day.
Fixed price, and it stays fixed
Every quote we give is a fixed price. Gary has never added money to a job once it has started, and that is not going to change on yours.
Our own team of eight
The eight people who make up Draycote Windows do the work, office staff included. Sign-written vans, full uniforms, and the same standards Gary set on day one.
We build our own roofs
We are a Eurocell approved tile installer and we build our tiled warm roofs ourselves. We do not fit off-the-shelf aluminium roof systems from other manufacturers.
Honest timescales
Lead times are a minimum of 10 weeks and can run to 16–18 weeks at busy times. You get the honest date before you commit, not after you have paid a deposit.
