Terms & Conditions

The terms we work to on every job: quoting, payment, lead times and the guarantee.

Quotes and pricing

A verbal quote is free of charge. A written quote costs £25, and that £25 is deducted from your final invoice if you go ahead with the work.

Written quotes are normally turned around the next working day after survey. Every quote we give is a fixed price for the work described in it.

A quote covers the work set out in that document. If you ask for additional work once we have started, that is priced and agreed separately before it is carried out.

Surveys

We survey before we price. Measurements, frame choices and finishes are confirmed at survey, and manufacture is based on those confirmed details.

It is your responsibility to confirm any planning permission, listed building consent, conservation area restriction, building control requirement, lease condition or freeholder permission that applies to your property. We will flag anything we spot at survey, but the consent itself is yours to obtain.

We do not carry out work on listed or heritage properties.

Payment

We accept cash and bank transfer only. We do not accept credit or debit cards and we do not offer finance.

A deposit is taken on order. The amount varies with the size and type of job and is confirmed in writing before you commit.

The balance is due on completion unless something different has been agreed in writing.

Lead times

Lead times are a minimum of 10 weeks from order and can extend to 16–18 weeks at busier times of year. We will give you an honest timescale before you commit rather than after.

Dates given are our best estimate. Manufacturing delays, weather and access issues outside our control can move an installation date, and we will tell you as soon as we know.

Carrying out the work

Work is carried out by our own team. We ask for reasonable access to the property and to the working areas, and for fragile items, blinds, curtains and valuables to be removed from the immediate work area before we start.

We take care of your property and clear up as we go. Some minor making good around new frames may be needed; anything beyond that is discussed with you at survey.

Guarantee

Completed installations carry a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee through IWA, covering the workmanship and the window frames.

We are Assured registered, the competent persons scheme equivalent to FENSA and Certass, and we hold £10,000,000 public liability insurance along with employers liability cover.

The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, misuse, alterations made by others, or fair wear and tear on moving parts that have not been maintained.

Cancellation

Where the law gives you a cancellation period for a contract agreed away from our premises, we will honour it. Once frames have been manufactured to your measurements they are made to order and cannot be resold, so cancellation after that point may leave costs payable.

If you want to cancel or change anything, ring us as early as possible and we will tell you honestly where the job stands.
